Resolution 09-
A Resolution Supporting an Alternative Energy Grant
Design/Build Proposal Application
WHEREAS, the proposed Alaska Industrial Development & Export
Authority (AIDEA/AEA) Alternative Energy Proposal and grant application for
Design/Build provides additional sources of revenue; and
WHEREAS, this initiative requires a twenty percent cost matching
requirement; and
WHEREAS, BBAHC in conjunction with it's Independent Power Producer [TDX],
have committed the required twenty percent cost matching for this Design/Build
proposal for the development of a one [ I ] megawatt wind powered resource; and
WHEREAS, BBAHC is concerned for reducing energy consumption and
preserving its long term ability to sustain its facilities, and documenting the
feasibility of alternative energy through wind generation is a critical step.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Bristol Bay Area
Health Corporation affirms its approval to apply for Design/Build development
funding in response to a request for proposals from the Denali Commission being
administered by the Alaska Energy Authority for the amount of $11.3 million in
AEA funds and $3 million in matching funds; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that BBAHC's Board of Directors has
duly authorized President / Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Clark to represent
BBAHC for the purpose of this application; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation affirms
that it is in good standing with respect to its existing credit and federal tax
obligations.
