This letter is in regards to the application to receive funding for a feasibility study of the
t7l
potential for generating hydropower in the community of Chignik, AK. Trident Seafoods
would like to acknowledge our agreement with the City of Chignik to enter into
negotiations for the use of Tridents FERC license to expand and improve the cuiTent
hydropower system,
As Trident Seafoods and the City of ChIgnik have successfully worked together for many
years, we would like to extend our support of this application as it is important for
communities and businesses to come together in a joint effort to lower overall energy
costs. Expansion and improvements to this system, we feel, would be beneficial for the
community as a whole.
