At pub l ic a nd resource agency he ~rl ng s i n Ap ri l ,tw ~mai n co ncerns were
exp r essed r eg ardIng the recomme nded 4cc ess p lan .The fi r st cc ncern was
t he co nstruct ion o f a "pi oneer "r oad I n a dva nce of receiv ing a FERC
l icense fo r construction .The s econd co ncern was the potenti a l i mpa cts
o f the access rouTe o n the Gol d Cr eek a rea and the India n Riv er remote
pa rce ls.
Based on t hese co ncerns ,the Al aska Power Authority d irect ed Acres to
re-evaluate thei r r ecommen ded a cce ss p lan .Acres has begun the ir re-
eva luat ion and wi l l present thei r findings to the Power Authority Boar d
o f Directors o n J une 25 i n Ancho rage .
