Scope of Work Summary
AVEC proposes to install and operate a ZX300 wind LIDAR profiler to collect and analyze wind data, complete
a reconnaissance-level geotechnical effort, and work with the community to determine the feasibility,
location, turbine type, and conceptual design of a wind project in Kalskag. AVEC proposes to use the
feasibility study to examine the potential for wind energy production in Kalskag. The effort would culminate
in a Concept Design Report (CDR), including an alternatives evaluation and conceptual design that could be
used to seek future wind turbine construction funding.
