UVEC Power Plant operators request a High Point Vent to be installed
in the'4"(P supply piping where it jumps over the containment dike.
They cite historic problems of an air lock.

Submit proposal prior to proceeding:
This is arctic pipe, install 1/2" HPV exposed (not insulated) using a weld-o-let fitting at the top of the pipe on
the inside of the dike wall. The connection should be all welded on the main line side of the HPV valve with a
forged steel plug or forged steel cap on the valve outlet. A ball valve would be acceptable if HCl has one on
site. A forged steel globe valve would work better and be less expensive, Vogt SW 43241 MMP or similar.
