DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST:
Cleaning of the buried pipe lines has revealed that pigs WILL NOT PASS
the check valves at the Marine Header. The checkvalvesmust be
removed for pigging operations. Exercise caution when removing the
check valves after the pipeline is flooded. A backflow condition may
exist resulting in a spill at the Marine Header. Recommend mounting
the Check Valve on the ocean side of the ball valves.
