DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST:
An elevation discrepancy has been discovered. 8x12 posts and 6x6
timbers set to date are 6" too high. The result is that the 8x12
posts are shallow in embedment. If the shallow embedment is
acceptable, the elevation can be corrected by removing the top 6x6
timber and resetting it at the bottom of the stack. The 8x12 posts
could then be trimmed to specific elevation. Please advise.
