Attached revisions to Sheet C-12 show revised piping layout at the
UVEC Power Plant as a result of Contractors request to route pipeline
above ground on the northeast side of the Power Plant instead of below
ground on the northwest side of the Power Plant. This change was
requested due to congestion with existing utilities in areas of the
original pipeline alignment. The Contractor has received permission
from adjacent property owner, the Unalakleet Native Corporation, to
access their Lot on the northeast side of the Power Plant for
installation of the pipeline. The attached sheet also includes the
following revisions:
1. Changing Power Plant issue line (Arctic Pipe) and tank shell
valve from 3-inch to 2-inch. The tank shell valve shall be a
2-inch Nutron ball valve, Model No. T3-R20R01LZ-05, with a
ASTM A350 Grade LF2 body so it can accept the standard AEA motor
operator in the future.
2. The location of Tank #PP1 has been changed slightly to
accommodate piping coming out of the east side of the tank
instead of the west side.
3. The location of the Control Panel and fire extinguisher has been
moved 65 feet to the east, closer to the RTU antenna and near
the bottom of the dike access stairs.
4. Existing power plant doors and remote radiator have been shown.
5. The two existing 88,600 gallon Power Plant tanks that will now
be abandoned in place have been shown.
6. The new location of UVEC's existing spill response tank has been
changed.
