Overview:
All construction work relative to the biomass building is complete. Focus during
this period is revamping of the heat -exchanger system to accommodate steam
to glycol transfer of heat, recalibrate digital controls to a steam configuration,
and to address final punch -list items remaining from General Contractor
Project Activities Com leted:
Phase I: Reconnaissance

• Design Development Completed
• Construction Documents Completed
• Construction Bid Process Completed
• Construction Bid Negotiations Complete
• Shop drawings, Submittals Complete
Phase IV Construction
• All site work is complete
• All sprinkler work is complete
• All electrical work is complete
• All control work is complete
• All mechanical work is complete
• All of equipment installation and operation is complete
• Final inspection complete, punch list is complete
• Controls commissioning complete
• O&Ms from GC complete
• Refractory modification complete and successful
• Open house complete
• Received O&M from Messersmith
• Received Commissioning report from CTA
• Installation of heat exchanger for steam glycol conversion taking place.
• Upgrading of the auger feed system from a single auger to a double counter -
rotating auger.
Existing or Potential Problems:
• Reprograming for steam operation
• Review and upgrade operations manual to steam operation, including turn -up
and turn -down sequencing protocols
• Set up wood acquisition protocols for local venders
• Evaluate counter rotating auger for feed capacity
Activities Targeted for Next Reporting Period:
• Quantify combustion rates based on steam generation
