COVID-19 – An important note to our Power Cost Equalization (PCE) Communities
Dear Friends,
As the COVID-19 situation remains ever-changing, your PCE team at the Alaska Energy Authority
(AEA) wants you to know that despite these uncertain times, we are here for you. AEA knows
how important PCE disbursements are to you and your community. To that end, we have put in
place a contingency plan to ensure operations continue as normally as is possible during this
difficult period.
If at any time you find your PCE filings are interrupted, AEA will make every effort to
accommodate you. Should this occur, please let us know of your situation as soon as possible so
that we have the maximum time to accommodate as necessary.
Please be aware that Utility Monthly Report’s (UMR) sent by the United States Postal Service
mail may be delayed in their delivery. Because of that, electronic transmissions are encouraged.
We also wish to inform you that later this year we will launch a new online portal for filing and
processing your UMR’s. We look forward to that development and we will provide you notice of
trainings in how to file through the online portal when it goes live.
For those of you not already reimbursed by electronic options, please consider adopting that
convenience. To set up your bank account for electronic reimbursements, please contact the
PCE team for guidance.

respond as soon as possible.
