First,Project description graphics are included to illustrate overhead transmission line structures, right-of-way clearing and construction activities, underground lines, submarine cables, transition stations, and substations.Graphics consist of engineering drawings prepared by POWER Engineers,Inc.and supplemental right-of-way and construction clearing schematics prepared by Dames &Moore. Thirteen visual simulations also were prepared for the Project using GIS data and engineering specifications along with industry-standard software including AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop. Simulations include transmission routes eliminated, the.Tesoro Route, the Enstar Route, and routes in the Anchorage area. Each simulation presents both a photograph of the existing conditions and a simulation of how the same view would appear with Project facilities in place.
