Dear Mr.Newton:
Alaska Energy and Engineering has been selected to prepare a preliminary design for theproposedconsolidatedtankfarminyourcommunity.Trevor Krupa and |will be traveling toTakotnathisweektomeetwithcommunityofficials,update information on existing tanks,and survey potential sites for a new/upgraded tank farm.We expect to arrive on Thursday,September 30.Depending on weather and availability of community members,we will either
depart Thursday evening or Friday morning.We will check in at the TCA office upon our
arrival.We would like to meet with you and other community officials to discuss the projectindetailonThursdayafternoon.Please invite owners and operators of other tank farms,and
other interested community members to attend.To make our visit as productive as possible |
need the following information:
1.Updated annua!fuel use records for TCA facilities including Power Plant,Washeteria,
Office,Post Office,atc.
2.Current fuel distribution methods (truck haul,drums,etc.)
3.Planned projects that may affect fuel consumption such as HUD housing,water and
sewer expansion,school addition,airport expansion/runway lighting,new clinic,ete.
4.Local sources of gravel or other fill material including type of fill available,owner,location,
method of hauling,seasonal restrictions,etc.
5.A list of local heavy equipment and information regarding condition.
6.Status of local labor pool (The Division has requested that communities identify their
potential labor pool for Force Account construction.Please fill out the attached list
indicating availability of the identified trades.)
