On this date, I have signed, with line-item vetoes, the following bill passed during the second
session of the Thi11y~Third Alaska State Legislature, and am transmitting the engrossed and
enrolled copies to the Lieutenant Governor's Office for permanent filing:

This budget, with line item vetoes, represents prudent and fiscally responsible investments in
public safety, education, energy, and housing. The vetoes made were the result of a thorough
evaluation and consistent application of the priorities of my administration to preserve general
funds for savings and ensure fiscal stability.
