The Renewable Energy Fund Advisory Committee convened at 11:07am.
MOTION: Mr. Rose moved to approve the Meeting Minutes from the January 12, 2009
Renewable Energy Fund Advisory Committee (the Committee) meeting. Seconded by
Brad Reeve. Discussion was held regarding length of the meeting minutes and timeliness
of the minutes being received by the Committee. A voice vote was taken and the motion
passed unanimously.
Public Session ended and Executive Session began at 11:15am to discuss project ranking
and selection.
The Committee reconvened in Public Session at 1:10pm.
MOTION: Mr. Rose moved that the Advisory Committee supports any (Federal Stimulus)
monies from Department of Energy that come to the State to be used for renewable
energy projects. Seconded by Mr. Reeve. A voice vote was taken and the motion passed
unanimously.
The proposed regulations for the grant process have been drafted and will be finished
before Round 3 begins. There will be a special meeting scheduled to review and discuss
the regulations.
The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00pm in AEA’s Board
Room and will re-examine project rankings and address regional spreading. The
Committee will also address questions regarding prior approvals made for Round 1
recommendations and how those further apply to Rounds 2 and 3.
